Frestems designs, develops, and manufactures products and services that are the best in the market, meeting all of our customers' highest needs and requirements, and fulfilling all expectations. Customers define our success, so we give them an essential role in the process, ensuring we are the solution provider of choice.

We have built an integrated quality management system to ensure that our products and services comply with customer and product requirements and current legislation. We also ensure that our products are traceable, suitable for their purpose, and always of high quality. The system meets the requirements of the international quality management standards ISO9001:2015 and ISO13485:2016.

Frestems' executive management is responsible for and highly committed to implementing the quality policy with a zero-defect approach. They also ensure continuous improvement in quality, environmental management, and the safety of processes, products, and services. We believe that defined processes and capable employees create a stable foundation for all functions.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy

Frestems supports a safe, healthy, environmentally friendly, and well-managed work environment, where all employees understand and follow agreed-upon rules and practices. We believe that all injuries, environmental incidents, and health hazards can be prevented.

Good health, safety, and environmental management practices are key to sustainable business. Compliance with applicable laws and regulations is only a minimum requirement. Health, safety, and environmental policies are implemented through management plans with the full support of the company management.

Counterfeit Mitigation Policy

Frestems Oy is committed to providing high-quality products on which our customers can rely. It is our policy to ensure that counterfeit parts are not used in the manufacture of Frestems products.

We purchase components directly from:
- Manufacturers
- Manufacturers' authorized distributors
- Manufacturers' approved agents/representatives
- OEM bonded inventories

On occasion, when hard-to-find or obsolete components are not available from these primary sources, we purchase from sources that provide the least risk and verify the parts through quality testing or inspection. The performance of our approved suppliers is continuously monitored in accordance with ISO9001 standards.

Conflict Mineral Policy

The mining of certain materials in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and adjoining countries partially contributes to significant human rights abuses and the financing of violent conflicts in this region. In 2010, the U.S. Congress passed the Dodd-Frank Act, which requires companies that file reports with the SEC to disclose whether the products they manufacture or contract to manufacture contain "conflict minerals." Conflict minerals include tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold.

Frestems does not file reports with the SEC and therefore has no legislative obligations to comply with the Dodd-Frank Act. However, Frestems supports the ending of violence and human rights violations. Frestems does not use conflict minerals in production. We have undertaken due diligence with our suppliers to ensure that our purchases of tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold originate from outside of the "Conflict Region" and will not purchase products that contain conflict minerals that directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the DRC or adjoining countries. We expect our suppliers and workers to follow this policy.
